When it comes to movie music, few are those pieces that really stand the test of time. The names of Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman come to mind when you think of a movie theme that you can recognize the second it starts playing.

One such musical piece is the theme song for Pirates of the Caribbean, an epic movie that started as a ride in the world of Disneyland. It doesn’t take much to learn the song, but only a true genius would learns the two separate lines of music that make up a theme and record herself playing them both on the classical guitar!

Guitarist Edina Balczó is the guitarist that we are talking about. Dressed up to look like part of the crew on the Black Pearl, she plays the the song like it was her that wrote it! Truly spectacular.

Edina is a UK based guitarist, composer, performer, and educator who was born in Hungary and lived there most of her life. She has resided in East London since 2008. Originally a self-taught guitarist who began playing at the age of 17, she later received private instruction from several well-known artists. Edina has since developed her own original style, which is a mixture of flamenco, classical, percussion, and Spanish jazz.
