Houthis Tighten 'Naval Blockade' On Israel After Fresh Red Sea Attack 'Won't Allow Any Ship

Yemen's rebel group, Houthis, attacked an Israel-bound cargo vessel on December 12 in the Red Sea. The US military said the Norwegian commercial tanker STRINDA caught fire in the cruise missile attack by Houthis and suffered damages but no casualties. A Houthi military spokesperson said the tanker was hit with a rocket because it was delivering crude oil to an Israeli terminal and because its crew ignored all warnings.
