Lansing bus company owner in court

The owner of a Lansing bus company that left dozens of MSU students stranded in October is due in court. Christopher Staggs is facing four misdemeanor charge of Motor Bus Transportation Operation Without Insurance. Two of his buses were pulled over after taking a group of MSU students to an apple orchard in St. Johns. Clinton County Sheriff's Deputies impounded the buses and left dozens of students stranded. Staggs has pleaded not guilty to the four charges -- which each carry a $500 fine. He was due in court at 8:30 this morning.
