A Detroit man accused in the murder of a Lansing man earlier this year is scheduled to be in court today. Larkin Neely is charged with open murder and armed robbery in the death of Kevin Wirth. Wirth was found stabbed and beaten to death inside his home on Kalamazoo Street in May. Police say Neely met Wirth at a bar earlier that day and went home with him where he ultimately robbed and killed him. Back in July, a judge ruled Neely as incompetent to stand trial. He's schedule to be in court this afternoon for a hearing to give an update on whether or not that has changed.
