Getting Caught Up | Nina DiGregorio episode

Nina DiGregorio is a classicly trained electric violinist who applies her classical training to some of the most iconic rock songs of all time -- and plays the violin probably like you've never heard it played before. She performs some of the most famous guitar solos of all time on the electric violin, and she makes them sound just like the original guitar solos. This is all an outgrowth of her band, ⁠the Femmes of Rock⁠, which puts on epic live shows with multiple violinists. When the pandemic shut the world down a few years ago and they couldn't play live, Nina began posting short videos of herself performing legendary guitar solos on the violin and things took off from there. She has had a remarkable music career playing with everybody from Wayne Newton to Toni Braxton to Beyonce to Shakira and The Killers and many more.
