In this bulge, there is a supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A*, which was photographed for the first time in 2022. The Milky Way is made up of billions of stars, planets, gases, dust and dark matter, which orbit its core at different speeds. The origin of the Milky Way coincides with the origin of the Universe, around 14 billion years ago, according to the Big Bang theory. The name Milky Way comes from its milky appearance, which can be seen in the night sky in places with little light pollution.
