As DC Comics grew in mainstream popularity, Hollywood came calling more and more. It helped that they were owned by a movie studio, Warner Brothers. And as the last quarter of the 20th century approached, Warner Brothers began to realize that their comic book division was a gold mine of intellectual property. They began what I like to call their Teenage Years with one of their most successful movies of all time, Superman, in 1978. From there, it was a bumpy ride as they experimented both on television and at the movie theatres. In this second part of the video series, I go through what DC and Warner Brothers put out and how the quality varied wildly as the century ended. The link to the first part of the series is below in case you missed it.
