According to the officials, severe tornadoes tore through central Tennessee, killing six people. The Nashville Emergency Operation Center said about three people were killed by storms just north of downtown. Montgomery County officials say 23 people were treated for injuries at hospitals. The Clarksville fire department posted pictures showing damaged houses. Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said, "the city stands ready to help them in their time of grief."
