Secrets of Taj Mahal #factsnews #shorts
The Taj Mahal was constructed in 1631 by Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, a Muslim Persian princess who was actually his soul mate and third and most beloved wife. After giving birth to their 13th child, she passed away while accompanying her husband in Burhanpur during a campaign to put an end to a rebellion. The Taj Mahal is a white marble wonder of unmatched grandeur that captures the utmost wealth of the time. The magnificent palace, which the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan created as a memorial to his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, stands as proof of his unwavering attachment. The Taj Mahal is located on the Yamuna River's bank, which also acts as a large barrier encircling the Great Red Fort of Agra, The capital of the Mughal rulers until they relocated the capital to Delhi in 1637. When Mumtaz Mahal was still alive, she extracted four promises from the emperor: first, that he would construct the Taj; second, that he would remarry; third, that he would treat their children with kindness; and fourth, that he would pay a visit to her tomb on the anniversary of her passing. However, his poor health and his own son and successor, Aurangzeb, had placed him under house arrest prevented him from carrying out that last promise.
