Crews of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Vostok group operate in close proximity to the line of combat contact with the enemy. In this case, the quadcopter is launched at a considerable distance from the operator’s location. This is done in order to prevent the enemy from detecting the operator's position and striking at it, since they are a priority target for the enemy. FPV drone operators carry out reconnaissance of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions day and night, pinpointing the location of enemy equipment, fire weapons and personnel using high-resolution cameras and thermal imagers.

The importance of UAVs in modern combat is constantly increasing. This area is very promising; new models of drones and tactical techniques for their use are appearing. Information received from drones in real time helps advance assault units and adjust artillery fire. Equipped with various types of explosive devices, drones under the control of operators are capable of striking the enemy.
