All Things Spiritual-Lily of the Valleys

The Song of Solomon describes God as the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys, seeking to be near his creation.
He wrapped himself in flesh and came to earth to express his presence with his people through prayer and fasting. The clothing of the lily is greater than that of Solomon in all its glory, and it makes sense that our clothing should emulate Christ.
The lily was used for medicinal purposes in ancient times, and today, it is used for our infirmities. Humility gives the brightest view of ourselves and Christ, and whatever Christ is to others, to those in the valleys, he is a lily. Excellence in Christ is in his oneness, and the beauty of the saints consists in our obedience and love for Him.
