US blocks UN Security Council resolution for Gaza ceasefire

The US vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
US Ambassador to the UN Robert A. Wood was the only member in the Security Council voted against the resolution, while the UK abstained from the vote.
