A heart consultant has put down his scalpel and picked up a guitar in a bid to make Christmas number one.

Dr Bill McCrea, 61, has reunited his group the Wiltshire Heart Throbs in an attempt to crack the festive charts and raise money for his hospital's seasonal appeal.

'Christmas Night (Tryin' to Get Home)' tells the story of an emergency service worker longing to be with their family over the festive period.
