Hunter Biden indicted on nine tax charges, adding to gun charges

On Thursday, Hunter Biden faced a nine-count tax indictment in California, marking a heightened phase in the special counsel investigation into the president’s son’s business affairs.

This development, accompanied by three felonies and six misdemeanors, adds to the existing federal firearms charges in Delaware, where Hunter Biden is accused of violating a law prohibiting drug users from possessing guns in 2018.

This legal scrutiny unfolds against the backdrop of the approaching 2024 election.

Hunter Biden “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills,” special counsel David Weiss said in a statement, the Associated Press reported.
