A Texas army veteran, 34-year-old Shane James Jr., is accused of a shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of six people, including his parents. The incident spanned from San Antonio to Austin on Tuesday.

Local authorities disclosed that the tragedy began at James’ San Antonio home, where the bodies of his parents, Phyllis James (55) and Shane James Sr. (56), were found.

The victims were tentatively identified, and investigators believe they were killed between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

James then traveled to Austin, where the violence continued. The first incident occurred at Northeast Early College High School around 10:43 a.m., where a school district officer was shot and wounded. The school went on lockdown, and classes were canceled.

Around 11:59 a.m., a man and woman, identified as Emmanuel Pop Ba and Sabrina Rahman, were killed in a residential neighborhood, People magazine reported.
