The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a suspect who burglarized an east Bakersfield church over the weekend.   Despite the surveillance cameras, alarm system, and fences, a man still broke into the building.  Sergeant Ryan Kroeker said on Sunday morning officers responded to Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church on South Haley Street and DeWolf Street for reports of a burglary.  Officials said an elder of the church showed up on Sunday morning just after 8 a.m. and saw a broken window and a man trying to run away from the church.  A struggle ensued between the church member and the suspect before the suspect got away.
