Why I Love What I Do

Randy has been building rifles, working up loads, experimenting with new calibers since he was a whippersnapper. And he still loves what he does. He says a day is wasted if he is not learning something new, but so far, no day is wasted. Much of what he has done over the years has not gone unnoticed and a friend coined the name “The Real Gunsmith” based on his experience, knowledge and expertise. This video is a bit of “the rest of the story” from his first video ever produced, about his life experiences.
Randy learned from some of the old top hands in the business, had great mentors, and learned to work on all types of actions, Springfields, Enfields, Mausers, Winchesters as well as Remington actions and many others. Sadly, most ‘smiths only know how to work on Rem. or Rem. foot print actions.
He enjoys a variety of jobs each day, has the blessing of living where he loves, with his wife of nearly 46 years.
