British public shut down 4 factories today supplying arms to Israel.

As our politicians continue to fail us in opposing Israel's genocide, the British public are taking it into their own hands!
Right, so there’s nothing quite like the power of the Great British public when they find a cause to rally around, get their heads together and take a stand. It might take us a while sometimes, but when we get sufficiently fed up at something or somebody, sufficiently horrified and upset and angered, then we turn up, turn out and can effect change that our elected representatives fail to do, or fail to listen to. So many of us have been utterly sickened to be in a country, complicit where so much of the weaponry, and armaments and equipment being used by Israel in Gaza, against a mostly civilian population, half of whom are under 18. So get organised people have. Trade Unionists, but not exclusively so, they’ve been joined by other members of the public too, over 1000 of them, have today blockaded 4 factories across the country supplying the IDF in Israel and you just love to see it.
Right, so 4 factories shut down by ordinary working class people across the country in a show of solidarity with Palestine, for Palestine and a swipe at our complicit government and the occupiers themselves of the Israeli government and the Israeli Defence Force, the IDF.
All of this has been organised by the group Workers for a Free Palestine, a grassroots network of like-minded people, trade unionists, activists, workers disgusted by the inaction of our government to hold Israel to account for the atrocities it is committing so, has instead, opted to do itself. Everything is peaceful, that must be mentioned, but what they do is organise mass pickets to shut down weapons factories and also help people organise within their workplaces in support of a free Palestine. Up until now they shut down an Elbit Systems factory in Kent and later also in Kent did likewise to a BAE Systems site, supplying parts for F-35 jets that Israel is using to bomb Gaza, but today is their biggest action to date, shutting down 4 factories across the country, showing not only that people up and down the country are on the same page as them, but that they are now affecting the Israeli war machine in the UK everywhere.
Today they reckon they’ve got over 1000 people picketing 4 sites: The Samlesbury Aerodrome in Preston, Lancashire, where F-35 fuselages are made by BAE systems, Eaton Mission Systems at Wimborne in Dorset has had all three of its entrances blocked, again another site that makes parts for F-35’s, the BAE Govan site in Glasgow has been shut down by Glasgow residents, which tickles me no end, that this one was organised by ordinary people, where again F-35 parts are produced, but also parts for Mk38 Mod 2 machine gun systems and lastly in Brighton, the Brighton and Hove Action for Palestine Group have shut down the L3 Harris Release and Integrated Solutions Ltd factory, which supplies parts for F-35’s and also F16’s used by the IDF in their attacks on Gaza. F-35’s are, according to their manufacturer’s Lockheed Martin, the most lethal fighter aircraft in the world. That Israel is using them as they are makes what they are doing all the more sickening.
