Kevin Guskiewicz has been named Michigan State University's next president.

The official announcement could come as soon as Friday, as the MSU Board of Trustees does not meet until December 15. Guskiewicz is currently the Chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been the only finalist for the MSU job since the middle of last month.
