BBC News presenter gives middle finger to camera

The BBCs regular propaganda was accidentally interrupted as a newsreader gave the middle finger to the audience live on television. As the inexplicably rave-inspired countdown was coming to a close, the camera cut to newsreader Maryam Moshiri in the studio, who was in the middle of giving the middle finger to the camera… for some reason. Suddenly remembering that the giant glass thing in front of her wasn’t for show and that she might actually be on television, Moshiri tried to regain some sort of BBC composure and lower the BBC middle finger in order to deliver whatever predictive programming she was supposed to be bleating on about. Judging by her ‘coronaverse’ flub later in the broadcast, she failed.

While almost no one caught it at the time (as she was on BBC News, after all), the clip soon found its way onto the internet, much to the delight of everyone who hates the BBC (which is just about everyone these days). While Moshiri will be regretting that her (presumably) off-camera hijinks hadn’t been timed better, the British public will be thinking it couldn’t have been better timed – the BBC just gave Britain a middle finger of its own by raising the television license fee by nearly 10% to £173.30 ($218). Yes, a license. To watch television. Britain is not a serious country.
