Do you love chicken and cheese? Do you want to try something new and exciting for your next meal? If yes, then you will love this chimney chicken recipe that I am going to show you in this video.

Chimney chicken is a dish that consists of a hollow bread filled with creamy and spicy chicken and topped with melted cheese. It is also known as chimney bread, kürtőskalács, or trdelník. It is a traditional pastry from Hungary and other Central European countries, but I have given it a twist by adding chicken and cheese to make it more filling and flavorful.

This chimney chicken recipe is easy to make and requires only a few ingredients. You will need:
🔸 Ingredients:

🔸For the chimney bread:

500g of flour
10g of yeast
5g of bread improver
10g salt
1 tbsp heaped sugar
1 whole egg and one egg yolk
200 ml milk
60g melted butter
Sesame seeds for sprinkling

🔸For the chicken filling:

500g of chicken cubes
3 green chillies
2 tbsp chopped coriander
10 to 12 cashew nuts
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Half cup yogurt
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp black pepper (crushed)
2 tsp salt
2 heaped tbsp butter
2 tbsp oil

🔸For the malai sauce:

2 tbsp butter
1 whole packet of cream
A little bit of salt and black pepper
2 tbsp cream cheese
To make the chimney bread, you need to:

Mix the flour, yeast, bread improver, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
Add the egg, egg yolk, milk, and melted butter and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a long rope and wrap it around a metal cone or a thick wooden stick. Make sure to leave some space between the coils of dough.
Brush the dough with some water and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 220°C for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Carefully remove the bread from the cone or stick and let it cool slightly.
To make the chicken filling, you need to:

Blend the green chillies, coriander, and cashew nuts in a blender or food processor to make a smooth paste. Add this paste to the chicken cubes and mix well.
Add the ginger garlic paste, yogurt, chat masala, black pepper, and salt and marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until cooked and golden. Keep aside.
To make the malai sauce, you need to:

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and add the cream, salt, pepper, and cream cheese. Stir well until smooth and creamy.
Add the malai sauce to the chicken and mix well.
To assemble the chimney chicken, you need to:

Cut off the top of the bread and scoop out some of the bread from the inside to make a cavity.
Fill the cavity with the chicken mixture and sprinkle some cheese on top.
Place the bread back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Enjoy your chimney chicken with some salad or sauce of your choice.
