What did we learn from Interview With A Spook – Episode I

First, I would like to establish a productive mindset. The ultimate goal here is to identify and correct problems. One cannot fix any electrical problems with their car by changing the tires. Even starting with lightbulbs and continuing to replace one thing after another until you finally fix the problem is exceedingly expensive, time consuming, and the wrong way to go about it. Doing a diagnostic, discovering what’s not working, is faster and cheaper. Problem solved.
If in our own homes, if every room is 15% a complete mess and even filthy, we need to identify what’s trash, and what just needs to be put where it belongs. It’s absolute stupidity to throw everything in the trash. I have watched “Hoarders.” Even with homes which were 90% full of useless crap, trash, dead animal carcasses, and rot, I never watched an episode wherein they set fire to the house and burned it to the ground.
They actually and factually went inside the home, removed all of the trash, cleaned what could be cleaned, replaced only what needed replacing, put in a proper location all which was good and useful. In less time than it took for the massive problem to accumulate, the team cleaned house. The team saved the home.
Throughout, and at the end of every episode, the root cause of the problem, the homeowner, was worked with, not ignored, not browbeat, not trashed. In most every episode, those around the cause of the problem proved to be part of the problem, until they did something more than complain and talk shit about it. Trashing the homeowner, the cause of the problem in the first place, would more likely ensure a complete waste of time, as the problem was never properly corrected. We can catch far more flies with honey than vinegar.
The cleanup crew helped the homeowner, and their friends and family, understand their problem. The cause of the problem was given enough resources and support to TRY to ensure this never happened again. Cooperation and support go a very long way to fixing what is wrong. Seldom was there a revisit, to the same home, to do it all over again.

Lesson 1 – Gung Ho Ass Hole is the way to go. Be as bellicose and braggadocio as you can. Senior management will actually identify you as one of them.
Lesson 2 – Don’t even bother to train in law enforcement, application of the law, proper procedure. If you have the right friends and family, you too can hold a powerful position in our nation’s National Law Enforcement Agency. (Spoken Like Cheech) You don’t need no stinking training, just the right daddy. My license, ain’t it back there on the bumper?
Lesson 3 – If you learn how to bend the rules to the breaking point, to your own benefit, to hell with what’s right. You too can be Zero The Hero. Just make it all about you, make a lot of noise, fuck the rules. Get what you can, all that you can. In government, the narcissist is of great value to those who seek to use them. They will reward the control freaks. All power is held in a concentrated, carefully selected circle.
Lesson 4 – It is a virtue among those in power, if you skillfully learn how to hide your fuckups and failings, by making it someone else’s fault. If at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried. Cover Your Ass is the real mantra in government leadership. If you know how to hide your mistakes, they will give you the ability to do so, and hide theirs even deeper. It’s all about the secrets to be kept, to attain the power to be had.

“25You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. 26It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave— 28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

It was the intent of our founding fathers to follow and obey this wise advice. Those who serve us, work for us, take care of us, should be held with great regard and honored. It’s time for government to be what it was intended to be, a house of servants.
