In today's episode we're going to dive into the origins of human civilization. We start the show off walking through the origins of homo sapiens and human civilization through the lens of the conventional understanding. After reviewing what we've been taught our whole lives, we start bringing up some of the issues with this story. We introduce the alternate theory of human civilization which is that human civilization goes back way before the ice age. We present some arguments that may support this claim and then we're left with a big question. If this isn't our first go at civilization, where is all the evidence of a previous civilization?

To address this question we spend the second half of the show reviewing a scientific paper published by the Comet Research Group in PNAS titled "Evidence for an Extraterrestrial Impact 12,900 Years Ago That Contributed to the Megafaunal Extinctions and the Younger Dryas Cooling." This article does a great job covering the various evidence for the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis. After we finish the article we discuss the ramifications and the terrifying reality for the people who lived at the time
