A grandma, Wanda Dench, and a young man Jamal Hinton, have continued to have their tradition of meeting up at Thanksgiving Day for the 8th year.

Wanda was contacting her family to come over for a Thanksgiving dinner, but also accidentally contacted a young African American man Jamal Hinton, who was working in an office at the time when he received a call from an unknown number.
Wanda had sent out a group text, which Jamal received too. Jamal said that he was not Wanda's grandson, and she got the wrong number, but since he was contacted, he asked if he could come over. Wanda invited him over with her family for Thanksgiving dinner, clarifying "That's what grandmas' do, feed everyone".

The two kept on meeting every single year for Thanksgiving Day.
Netflix heard of this, and they are making a movie based on Wanda and Jamal's yearly Thanksgiving Day gathering.
