Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the Joint Press Centre of the Defence Forces of the Tavria direction, said: "At the moment, fighting is continuing. In general, in the zone of operation of the Tavria anti-aircraft missile defence system, and in particular near Avdiivka, the enemy reduced the number of attacks by almost one and a half times compared to the previous day. One of the reasons for this is that the enemy suffered very high losses," says Shtupun
The Ukrainian army continues to strengthen its defence blocks against Russian attacks in the direction of Avdiivka. The Ukrainian army managed to repel 21 Russian attacks in the areas south of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne and Pervomaiske.
The Ukrainian army also continued counter-offensive operations in and around Melitopol. However, the Russians, who organised counter-attack operations near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region to retake lost positions, failed. The Ukrainian army managed to repel these attacks.
