Today we gather to celebrate a profound truth: through Jesus, the gap between God and man has been bridged. His sacrifice on the cross, the blood He shed for us, and the inheritance He has secured for us, mark us as more than conquerors. In a world often shadowed by darkness, let us be reminded that we are on the winning team, the team of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1. The Bridge Between God and Man

Jesus Christ, by His life and death, has bridged the vast gap between humanity and God.

John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" Through Christ, the pathway to the Father is open to all who believe.

2. The Power of the Cross

At the cross, a divine exchange took place.

2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Christ took our sins upon Himself, granting us righteousness in return.

3. The Significance of His Blood

The blood of Jesus is central to our redemption.

Ephesians 1:7 states, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." His blood is the seal of our forgiveness and freedom.

4. Walking in Our Inheritance

In Christ, we have received a glorious inheritance.

Romans 8:17 declares, "And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." Our inheritance is eternal life and all the promises of God.

5. Overcoming Through Faith

We overcome the world through our faith in Jesus.

1 John 5:4-5 says, "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"

6. The Assurance of Victory

In Christ, we have the assurance of victory over the enemy.

James 4:7 instructs us, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Our submission to God is our strength against the enemy's attacks.

7. Empowered by the Spirit

As Pentecostals, we emphasize the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8 proclaims, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." This power enables us to live victoriously.

8. Living in His Victory

Christ's victory on the cross is our victory. Romans 6:14 assures us, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." We are freed from sin's dominion and live under the grace of Christ.

9. Standing Firm in Faith

We are called to stand firm in our faith, regardless of life's trials.

1 Peter 5:8-9 exhorts, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith."

10. The Promise of His Presence

We are never alone in our battles.

Matthew 28:20b comforts us, "And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Jesus promises His constant presence, guiding and sustaining us.

In Christ Jesus, we have crossed over from death to life, from defeat to victory. His blood has sealed our redemption, and His Spirit empowers us to walk in the fullness of our inheritance. As members of the Body of Christ, let us hold fast to this truth, living out our faith with boldness and confidence. We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Let us rejoice and step forward in victory, for we are indeed on the winning team. Amen.
