A federal judge has temporarily blocked the enforcement of Idaho's "abortion trafficking" ban, a controversial law that criminalizes helping minors travel out of state for abortions. The judge ruled that the law violates the fundamental rights of freedom of speech, expression, and due process. The temporary halt on the enforcement of the law is a setback for abortion abolitionists, however, the legal battle over the law is far from over. The state has already appealed the judge's ruling to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
