According to Bob Vander Plaats, “God’s greatest miracle might be wrapped up in your biggest problem.” On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson concludes his three part series with Bob, who explains the unique relationship we have between earthly problems and the Lord’s divine purpose. Bob also describes how God moved in and through his disabled son, Lucas, to bring the most “beautiful chaos” into his and his wife’s lives, as well as that of their other children.

About Today's Guest: Bob Vander Plaats
Bob Vander Plaats is president and CEO of The Family Leader, a state-level public policy organization serving Iowa and its people, with a mission to strengthen families by inspiring Christ-like leadership in the home, the church, and the government. In 2010, he received the CitizenLink "Family Champion" award. Through his leadership, The Family Leader has initiated several pro-life and family advocacy programs, most notably, The Daniel Impact. Bob’s strong conservative voice is frequently noted and his comments are often requested by national media outlets. He is the author of "Light from Lucas" and "If 7:14: An Urgent Call for Revival." Bob received his master’s and specialist’s degrees in educational leadership from Drake University. He and his wife, Darla, live in Iowa, and are blessed with four sons, including Lucas, who went home to be with the Lord in 2021.
