I am a Canadian self-taught artist, student of sound healing and energy medicine. Like many artists I started my journey into the world of art as a child. This exploration of creativity would later expand in my twenties after having had a spiritual experience that would be the catalyst for transformation in my life.

For me creativity is not only a tool of self-expression but also a tool of self-reflection.

We've all had ideas that come to us suddenly, it's just there suddenly in the mind and you think, Ah! What a great idea!

The question I ask myself when this happens is where did this idea come from? Did it come from the mind itself? What is the mind? Or did it come from beyond the mind? If it came from beyond the mind, what is beyond the mind? These are some of the questions that I explore in the midst of the creative process.

It has been my experience that the best ideas come to me like a gift, full of mystery, wonder and joy as to where it came from. The source from where these ideas come from is my mentor and teacher.

SOLO EXHIBIT "MY PIECE OF THE GREAT MOSAIC - MY INNER JOURNEY"

In my desire to express the spiritual experience that I had at age 24 or at least create something from this place within me, my daily mantra would be..."let me be an expression of this light that I experienced". This request would bring me to explore the possibilities of art as a means of bringing this into creation. This would be the beginning of my training and experimentation using painting. This process would take me to every place within me and to the exploration of different mediums and ideas.

Piece by piece I was being given the answer to my question but didn't realize this until some 20 years later. In fact, I thought I wasn't getting anywhere and many times wanted to give up on the idea. One night during the dream state, the title of my creation would be revealed to me. It would be called "My Piece of the Great Mosaic - My Inner Journey" It was then that I finally realized how some of the art pieces and words that I had been given years before would all fit together. It was without a doubt a aha moment.

It took some 26 years to bring the exhibit into creation, it was a work in progress and I would need to be patient.

Life is like that, we sometimes do not see the big picture but everything is moving us forward to something greater whether we are aware of it or not.

The exhibition made its debut in 2013 & 2014 at the following Galleries:
2013 Two Woman Show, Temiskaming Art Gallery, Haileybury, Ontario, Canada.
2014 Solo Art exhibition, Museum of Northern History the Sir Harry Oaks Chateau, Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada

The experience of losing my father to suicide at 16 as well as other challenging experiences brought me to the place where the only thing, I could count on was God and nature.... these life experiences would be the catalyst for my search for understanding and truth as well as the grace of this light experience. What I learned is that the darkest moments are an opportunity for transformation, change and grace. For me the darkness was actually a gift.... a gift to know myself beyond this physical form and I am forever grateful for that blessing.

I have created and released this video of my exhibit as I feel that its message is needed at this time of great change and transformation.
