Adventure Now S.3 Ep.6, Sailing to Svalbard, exploring glaciers and an abandoned Russian mining town

Hello and welcome to episode 6 of the 3rd Season of Adventure Now aboard sailing yacht Altor of Down, our Moody 44. Please join us on our adventure as we leave Tromso in Norway and set sail for Svalbard stopping off at Bear Island on the way as we cruise with Lia Sailing and their crew for this adventure, Sam Holmes.

We get supplies at Longyearbyen and then head to Pyramiden via a glacier. We get very close and, yes, some have said too close! We know that this was risky but we also believe that life itself is risky. This is something we wanted to experience, the overwhelming scale and power of nature up close. We are incredibly grateful for having the chance to adventure like this and see this glacier up close. It was an awesome, once in a lifetime, experience for us and in order to be open and honest about our adventures, which is what we will always be on this YouTube channel, we decided to show it in full. Life is a risk, whatever you do. Sailing in gales carries a risk too but so does driving to work. We hope you enjoy this video including the tour around the abandoned Pyramiden.
