Adventure Now S3 Ep.8 Sailing Altor of Down from Bodø to Støtt, visiting Saltstraumen & Saltfjellet

Hello and welcome to episode 8 of the 3rd Season of Adventure Now aboard sailing yacht Altor of Down, a Moody 44. Please join us as we retrace our steps through Raftsundet alongside Lia Sailing, sail back to Bodø where we meet with Benn and Hege who invited us to their home near Saltstraumen Maelstrom so we get to see this phenomenon governed by the rise and fall of the currents, where every 6 hours almost 400 million cubic meters of water have to pass through a 3 km long and 150-meter wide strait between Saltenfjord and Skjerstadfjord. We leave Bodø bound for Støtt, an island in the municipality of Meløy in Nordland county, Norway. At Støtt we say goodbye to Ed and part our ways as he heads south and we sail on to explore Norway. We visit Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park where we see a beautiful glacier and meet Norwegian cows!

Filmed in July and August 2022 using a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000, a Panasonic Lumix G100, a Rhode microphone and edited with iMovie.
