Bearded Dragon Lizard Reptile whipping his Tail in the bath And Splashing the GoPro Camera!

Our Bearded dragon Rex Was acting uncomfortable in his Vivarium today so we decided to give his a bath to see if it helped him as he had just been shedding his skin and we thought maybe he has some shed that hasn't come off. Well as soon as we got him in his bath he starting flicking and whipping his tail like crazy in the water Splashing the GoPro Camera, I guess he had some shed on his tail that hadn't come away yet!

When bearded dragon reptiles are shedding their skin they can get very depressed and uncomfortable so its a good idea if that happens to give them a shallow warm bath to help them out, it needs to be about the same temperature that you would make it for a baby. Some Bearded dragon lizards love to swim some of our lizards swim underwater, so you can run the bath a little more than it is in the video, but just make sure they can just about stand on the bottom.

Another thing you can do to help them is to use a soft old toothbrush and gently brush over the shed to help loosen it and you can also use a toothbrush to help get dirt of them which works really well. Just make sure you keep the toothbrush out the way so you don't accidently use it though :-DD

Also some lizards like to get under the shower head when they are shedding and itchy just make sure you are constantly checking the temperature whilst its running just in case it suddenly gets too hot or cold.
