2
Jesus arrives in Bethany to find that his dear friend Lazarus has already been in the tomb for four days. Moved by compassion and sorrow, Jesus weeps openly at the sight of the grieving mourners. Despite the doubts and questions from those present, Jesus instructs the stone to be rolled away from the tomb, declaring, "Lazarus, come out!" To the amazement of all, Lazarus emerges, still wrapped in burial cloths.
