That early rivalry is encapsulated in one moment now known as the “incident” in 2012 when Leclerc took out Verstappen after the race. A 14-year-old Max Verstappen and a 14-year-old Charles Leclerc weren't battling it out for F1 titles, but rather for the WSK Euro Series in karting. The duo had an incident on the track and reacted to it in this video. Who would've thought they would be rivals in Formula 1.
