Thousands run in Turkey Trot in downtown Lansing

Over 5,000 people were up early Thursday morning to run in Lansing's Turkey Trot. The event was sponsored by Michigan Running Foundation and took place at Lansing Community College. The route went through downtown Lansing and even passed the holiday tree at the Capitol. The race was a way for some to burn off calories before Thanksgiving dinner. The money raised from the Turkey Trot goes to support youth track clubs as well as middle school programs in the Lansing School District.
