Langside shooting: Suspect in shooting that killed 4 was out on court release, Winnipeg police say

Investigator Jennifer McKinnon of the Winnipeg Police Service stated on Friday morning that a person has been taken into custody in relation to the shooting that happened on Sunday in the 100 block of Langside Street.

Jamie Randy Felix, 32, was taken into custody and charged with one count of attempted murder and four charges of second-degree murder. McKinnon stated that they knew the suspect and that a court order had allowed for his release, but they were unable to verify the details of the release. Officers are looking into Felix's possible link with the victims as well as the shooting scene, as no reason has been given.
