Renewed Gaza bombardment and air strikes resume after a seven-day truce ends

War has returned to Gaza after one week of truce. Israel has killed at least 178 Palestinians after resuming its bombardment of Gaza. Hamas and the Israelis blame each other for failing to extend it. And as hostilities resume, there are indications that the army is expanding its offensive further south.
