A rocket was fired from Syria at northern Israel on December 3, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said. ‘The projectile landed in an open area, causing no injuries, according to the IDF. A Gaza official told Al Jazeera on December 3 that more than 700 Palestinians had been killed in the besieged strip in the last 24 hours. A “potential explosion” struck a key shipping route off the coast of Yemen, the British military said. The British military issued a brief warning to shippers that the incident happened in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry warned that Israel’s government wanted to “solidify the separation” between West Bank and Gaza. The Palestinian ministry warned that the move undermined the future Palestinian state, as Israel carries out deadly raids and gives cover to settler violence.
