Vintage Holiday Favorites *Eggnog & Rice Pudding* you can whip up in NO TIME with modern gadgets!

I just LOVE Eggnog... and it certainly doesn't need the added preservative, if you know what I mean! I have tried making it before, but never the success that I have had with using my Vitamix AER blade. No, I'm not an affiliate, just my honest appreciation of the product! I am sure that other blenders work perfectly fine... I mean it HAS been 25 years since I last made some! I am guilty of buying the store made stuff.... well NO MORE!
Recipe:
6 large eggs -whip well
3/4 c. sugar -blended in
3 cups of dairy (whole milk, whipping cream, whatever you like)
glug of REAL vanilla
sprinkle of seasonings to your liking
1 cup liquior of choice. Suggested 1/2 Burbon 1/2 Rum
Mix everything well!

And wow... what a tasty treat rice pudding is. I think I can remember my grandmother making this.... or something similar as it brought back some tingly memory induced feelings for me! I loved using my HOMEMADE raisins for this! Want to know how... see THIS vidoe on dehydrating grapes! https://youtu.be/Qb1W6tlUqfs
Recipe:
1 cup short grain rice, rinsed
add 1 1/2 cups water
1/4 tsp. salt
cook in the instatnt pot for 3 minutes
10 minute natural release
Add 1 1/2 cup milk
1 TBS butter
shut off burner
In seperate bowl beat 2 large eggs VERY well
add 1/2 cup milk and whisk together
Add egg/milk mixture to rice and turn on the saute function
Stir constantly and cook until thick and bubbly. Take out of cooker and add your vanilla and raisins ... remove cinnamon stick.
Serve warm or chilled.
