‘Woke world’ bringing us tampons for ‘men who menstruate’: Rowan Dean

Sky News host Rowan Dean says the “woke world” is providing tampons for “men who menstruate” after a Finnish company released the product last month to coincide with Transgender Awareness Week and International Men’s Day.

The sanitary product released by Vuokkoset comes in a dark blue box which bears the words “for men” on one side, but extends the phrase around the box so the packaging reads “for menstruation”.

Feminist campaigners have criticised the product as an “insult” to women who suffer “period discrimination”.

“Men who menstruate now have their very own tampon supplier … it is about time,” Mr Dean joked.

“This is what the woke world are bringing us – men who menstruate now have tampons.”
