While Russia is often perceived as somehow normal and civilized country which was just unlucky with the dictator, it is in fact moving towards theocratic tyrannies very fast. It was not a secret that in some regions of Russia there were internal dictatorships, but now Russian police and Russian government is participating in chasing, catching forcingly marrying and even killing of women who try to escape domestic violence.

Women get abused, mutilated and regurarly beaten in the southern regions of Russia, and when they try to run, it appears that they are not safe anywhere. Russian police is rather effective in tracking them down using all the modern technology, while Russian society is mostly indifferent to these women as they are not considered their own.
