雪女 Yuki-Onna, The snow woman

Yuki-Onna is a yokai spirit that you should never desire an encounter with. While there are tales of humans interacting and even forming relationships with these ghost-like spirits, the vast majority of known tales result in the the death of any who meet her.

Yuki-Onna is described as a beautiful young woman, wearing a simple plain white kimono who wanders through blizzards and snowstorms all over Japan. These spirits seek out mortals to freeze them to death and consume their soul.

There is a lot of variety to Yuki-Onna. From her name to her behaviors, all over Japan there are different versions of this yokai. However, there is still a consistent image that almost everyone has.
Because of that, I think she is the personification of hypothermia. A beauty you witness while delirious on the brink of death.

I'm new here on YouTube but want to make a full series out of this. I plan to release a video every two around every two weeks. I hope to improve the quality and depth of the videos as time passes and I get used to it more. The videos will always start with a short narrative followed by a deeper look into the specific creature.
There are other series I want to make about Japan. Also, I live in Japan and potentially might do some live videos from some of my favorite places.
