8-year-old Gladstone boy hailed as a hero after alerting his family to a fire, saving them
6 years ago
Maxx Gerhardt is only 8 years old, and his family is calling him a hero. On Saturday, Nov. 18, Maxx was sleeping on the couch when he smelled smoke and got his family up and out of the house. None of the family’s smoke detectors went off, and now his mother is encouraging other parents to have fire safety plans and checks in place.
