When the host asked the OITNB star if she’d wished to attain unimaginable heights in her acting career, the latter brought up ‘gold juice’, which apparently has got Hollywood stars famous. When Whitney asks the actress to elaborate, Taryn says “I don’t know”, before adding: “I didn’t drink it and I didn’t want it.”

She was offered to have it three times – in her 20s and 30s, but she declined it. She said she saw her co-stars “change” after drinking it and it was a “scary” and “real thing.” Explaining why she finds it terrifying, Taryn added: “Because they send like people after you and they can kind of moonlight as like a friend. They are wild in sheep’s clothing.” The ‘gold juice’ supposedly lets you “have everything you want. All the fame in the world and all the money.” Some fans speculate gold juice could be a metaphor for the Illuminati. Others argue it’s nothing but plasma – a yellowish fluid rich in platelets used in cosmetic surgeries – although none of the wild theories can be verified.
