Environmentalist infuriated to find 14 plastic bags in packaging

An environmentalist was left infuriated when he ordered two famously-bagless vacuum cleaners - and found no fewer than 14 PLASTIC BAGS inside the packaging.

Phil Swift, 68, said he was proud to become the owner of a new Dyson V8 Animal and Dyson V7, both cordless upright vacuum cleaners with multiple detachable parts.

But he was infuriated when he opened the packaging and found each of the detachable parts was wrapped in individual plastic bags.

And when he phoned his local council - which, ironically, is the same council that collects waste and recycling at Sir James Dyson's mansion - he was told the bags were not recyclable, and he should put them in the bin.
