Norman Finkelstein, Child of Magneto

After the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, it seemed to me the loudest non-Muslim-yet-pro-Gaza voice has been Norman Finkelstein's. Why does this otherwise rational-sounding scholar have such a flipped view of the Israel/Gaza conflict? After watching several interviews with him, I think I now know.
