Brian Greene on The Mysterious Stuff Called Dark Matter
American theoretical physicist Brian Greene explains in great detail the mysterious stuff we call dark matter. Brian Greene mentions several scientific hypotheses that could explain what dark matter is. Scientists believe that in the first minutes after the big bang this stuff was just ordinary
matter.
Brian Greene takes several everyday examples to illustrate this substance we cannot see, so we get a better picture of what dark matter may actually be.
Some theories suggest it may be normal objects such as cold gasses, dark galaxies, or
black holes.
This dark stuff remains mysterious and proponents of the dark matter hypothesis have some explaining of their own to do when it comes to recent findings about the universal relationship between galaxy rotation speeds and their visible matter content.
