BAD Start for Aquaman 2 | One More FLOP for DC

Early projections for the new DCEU film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom staring Jason Mamoa are in and they’re not looking too good. The early projections have it opening to less than the previous Aquaman movie and in line with DC’s other big superhero flop this year The Flash.

Despite all of this, things are not over yet. The first Aquaman movie had a slow start, but held on at the global box office thanks to good word-of-mouth. The first Aquaman movie only made $67 million domestically during its opening weekend and went on to gross over $1 billion. It’s still possible Aquaman 2 will have legs under it as well and could break Warner Bros. Discovery’s track record of DC superhero flops.
