China Beefs Up Security On Myanmar Border As Rebels Claim Capture of Key Trade Crossing from Junta

Viral footage showed people on the Myanmar side of the border fence to China scrambling from an exploded smoke bomb. They were seen appealing to Chinese security forces across the fence for safe passage and to release a man they said had been detained. Reuters was able to confirm the location from the landscape, terrain and vegetation matching to satellite images and 3D topographic maps.
