Narcissistic abusers project out on to you what they are actually doing to you and then say what is happening is your fault or it is something you did. It is gaslighting, that twist of reality that they need to provoke with. Don't bite the hook. A client of mine experienced this very today with her boyfriend and told me about it in a session. It is so important to learn if you haven't already how to spot the covert or overt projection that using gaslighting the Narcissists will actually communicate to you that you are doing what they are have actually done and/or are continuing to do.

They will cause chaos, drama, provoke you to respond to try to have you react in a way that gives them more sense of being superior. Basic supply taken from you. They may say something gaslighting attempting to provoke at the same time as they try to tell you that what you are doing is the very thing(s) they are doing to you.
